The Leeds Community Equipment Service's role is to provide daily living and nursing equipment for people to use in their own home. Once the service user has no further use for the equipment it is returned/ collected, cleaned, refurbished and then reissued. New equipment is also purchased.

Some community equipment is delivered by LCES to the service user's home and installed by the assessor, however most community equipment is fitted by the LCES Technical Installation Team.

The aim of Leeds Community Equipment is to provide the right equipment quickly, to enable people to live independent and inclusive lives in their home.

We are looking for an experienced Manager to join the team in this fast paced environment to help achieve the aims of the service and ensure that equipment is delivered and collected within the set KPIs.

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will provide support and supervision to all of the teams within the service, and will deputise for the Assistant Manager/ Warehouse and Operational Manager when required. A flexible approach is required to meet the conflicting demands of the job, including providing cover to teams when demand dictates e.g. covering in cleaning, delivering equipment or supporting Admin.

You will be responsible for the development of a designated team on a rotation basis and the Service as a whole. Experience of line managing staff is essential along with effective interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to delegate and prioritise the workload effectively in a continually changing environment, with a strong knowledge of stock control, logistics, business & financial processes, risk management, and IT systems including interpreting data.

Please note the role requires a manual driving license.

The service is a seven day a week service. The post will require working a rot a pattern of 37.5 hours in 5 over 7 days across a range of 8am - 4pm, and 10am - 6pm shifts on weekdays, and 2 in 4 weekends, (subject to review) 8am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.
