Community Hospital Staff Nurse, Band 5

Job Reference: 184-JF.GEN.212

Employer:
Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Department:
Care of the Elderly
Location:
Shepton
Salary:
£24,214 - £30,112 per annum

Ask yourself, why did you become a nurse? At Somerset Partnership we believe this is simple - to care for people.

We have an opportunity for you to join us and do just that.

Shepton Mallet Community Hospital is located in the historical town of Shepton Mallet in the beautiful Mendip area. It is a small hospital with 8 beds and an ambulatory care unit, which gives the hospital a real community feel.

Working in the community hospital you will work closely with the therapy teams, social services and GPs to help rehabilitate patients. You will be able follow the patients journey from when they come to us, throughout their care, until they are discharged, which is a rewarding experience for all involved.

This is an exciting time for us, as we work towards escalating patients care in the community to prevent them going into acute beds. This is an opportunity for you to work in a rehabilitation environment with an amazing team, whilst upskilling in areas such as end of life care and ambulatory care.

We will support your transferrable clinical skills with training packages tailored to your needs. We also offer a great preceptorship programme for those who are newly qualified.

If you are a forward thinking, compassionate nurse who is keen to be involved in the fantastic hands-on care provided at the community hospital, we want to hear from you.

A fully paid comprehensive induction will be provided including a uniform and a DBS check.

All staff at the hospital also benefit from free parking.
