A well established practice in SE Cornwall is looking to develop its management structure. The new Strategic Business Manager will support the GP Practice in ensuring opportunities in primary care are maximised for patients, and collaborative working in line with recent developments enables the practice to encourage new thinking and service delivery.

The current, experienced practice manager plans to retire at the end of the year. Transition will be facilitated to support the new role, and encourage the strategic benefits to translate into operational support.

The practice has 12,800 patients and around 45 employees.

This exciting role requires someone forward thinking with a track record of effective project management. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership ability, commercial acumen, an ability to embrace change and work collaboratively with other organisations to maximise the opportunities available whilst delivering the highest possible quality of healthcare to the local population.

Ideally educated to degree level the candidates do not need to have worked within healthcare, but must demonstrate an understanding of the challenges facing the sector and how they can best utilise the resources available in a commercially focused way. This is a new role and will evolve over the first 6 months.

Please apply through NHS Jobs.
