An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Psychodynamic Supervisor/ DIT Practitioner/ Senior Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist to join a high performing and creative management team within Newham Talking Therapies (NTT). NTT is one of the leading national IAPT services and we are keen to recruit an experienced Psychodynamic/ DIT Practitioner who will lead on the supervision and delivery of effective evidence based Relational Psychotherapies (i.e. Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Counselling for Depression (CfD) and Systemic Therapy).

 

You will be joining a dynamic management team and support the service in delivering the main KPIs by providing creative leadership in your specialist area and supporting the performance and development of a small team of therapists under your direct line management.

 

The role of the senior psychodynamic supervisor and DIT therapist is to deliver effective evidence based DIT and brief psychodynamic therapy to individual patients, and provide specialist clinical supervision for honorary and qualified therapists working in the Relational Therapies Modalities.

 

The post holder will offer clinical reviews and assessments, and senior consultative support to the team and be responsible for co-ordinating the recruitment, placement and supervision of qualified and honorary therapists as well as Clinical and Counselling Psychology Trainees. They will contribute to the senior management team and will lead on suitable projects within the service. The post holder will be Clinician of the Day on a regular basis.

 

The successful candidate should come with highly developed assessment, therapy skills and supervision from working in a Primary Care IAPT service and will be trained as a qualified practitioner and supervisor in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)/ Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy AND at least one of the following NICE-recommended high-intensity therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) or Counselling for Depression (CfD).

This post is offered as permanent (full time), with the expectation that all clinical staff work one late evening per week (12pm until 8pm).
