Macmillan Next Steps Cancer Rehabilitation Project – Health & Wellbeing Facilitator

Band: Band 4

Salary: £21,089 to £23,761

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (FTC until 31st March 2020 - flexible workingpatterns will be considered)

Location: Countywide service, based at Southgate Moorings, Gloucester

Contract: Fixed term contract to 31st March 2020 - Secondments will also be considered but applicants need to gain approval from their current Line Manager for the secondment prior to applying

Are you ready for an exciting challenge? Do you have a background in behaviour change, health psychology, teaching or patient support and self-management?

In partnership with Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust, the Macmillan Next Steps Cancer Rehabilitation Team would like to appoint a Cancer Health and Wellbeing Facilitator to coordinate and co-facilitate health and wellbeing events for people affected by breast, prostate or colorectal cancer around Gloucestershire.

The post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to facilitate group workshops plus listen, empathise and empower people affected by cancer to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to recover after cancer and self-manage.

We are a friendly team and would like to welcome a proactive person who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team and within an environment of fast paced change and innovation. We provide ongoing training and development in what will be a rewarding and fulfilling facilitation role.

The post holder will be based at Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust 2nd Floor, Southgate Moorings, 2, Kimbrose Way, Gloucester, GL1 2DB and will be required to travel throughout Gloucestershire.
