As a regional cancer centre, we have an exciting opportunity to come and be part of the cancer care team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). Opportunities have arisen within cancer care for a band 6 nurse on C3.


C3 is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic and experienced nurse to join our chemotherapy cay unit team. The successful candidate will be joining a nursing team that provides ongoing care for oncology patients in a day unit setting, including a PICC line service, outpatient clinics and 2 outreach centres at Lymington Hospital and Countess Mountbatten House. You will be working with the wider multidisciplinary team in supporting patients throughout their cancer journey including new patients, patients receiving chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, and routine follow-up patients. This role provides a real opportunity to develop clinical skills and knowledge base while being supported by a senior and experienced team.


Working in cancer care will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills whilst enhancing your knowledge of oncology. You will also be supported and encouraged to further develop your career with opportunities to attend cancer care courses at masters and degree level. C3 is a progressive unit that is undergoing a lot of change in order to provide patients with the best care while receiving their cancer treatment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking and supportive team. Competency in intravenous therapy and chemotherapy administration is desirable but not essential. If you do not have these skills you will be offered training and support to develop these skills.

C3 opening hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm and Saturday 8am – 4pm.
