Luton mental health service invites a skilled and conscientious leaders to apply for the post of clinical nurse manager on a busy 20 bedded male adult acute ward. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate sound and progressive leadership skills. This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably experienced band 6 nurse or an existing band 7.

Onyx ward provides high quality person centred care to adults of working age with mental health needs. The successful candidate will need to be passionate about providing compassionate care and must be efficient and well organised. They will need to be good role models, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work with this vulnerable patient group and support carers in time of distress. They will need to demonstrate knowledge and skills of caring for both the physical and mental health needs of this group, and to be able to ensure that staff are providing care to the expected standard.
