An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated band 7 pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust on a permanent basis.   The role will be split 50/50 between outpatient dispensary and clinical services.  The successful candidate will be able to develop a rewarding career in paediatrics as they complete a variety of clinical rotations; have opportunities to enhance their leadership skills by supporting and developing the service we offer to patients and their families in our busy out-patient dispensary and mentoring more junior pharmacists or deputising for Senior Pharmacists. Alder Hey is a stand-alone paediatric hospital located on the outskirts of Liverpool with a national reputation for excellence.  It recently featured in the award-winning BBC documentary “Hospital”. The pharmacy team are forward thinking, innovative, caring and compassionate and work really well together.  Our team of over 30 pharmacists work in the Aseptic Unit, Medicines Information, Purchasing and dispensaries as well as on wards, in clinics and within specialist teams.  We are looking for an experienced hospital pharmacist with a positive outlook who thrives within the multi-disciplinary team environment and has excellent communication skills.  They will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage their own work and that of others.   Paediatric experience is not essential as training can be provided by experienced mentors.
