Manchester Health and Care Commissioning is a single commissioner for health and social care, comprising a partnership between Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group and Manchester City Council.

Business Support Officer – Urgent and Emergency Care Transformation

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive individual, to join our team to support the Urgent and Emergency Care Transformation Programme with the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership.

We are seeking to appoint a high achieving and experienced administrator to support a dynamic and forward-thinking team, based in central Manchester at Piccadilly Place. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organisational and keyboard skills and possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

We are looking for an individual who has experience of working in a busy environment, supporting multiple projects and programmes with competing deadlines. The successful candidate will have experience of working with a senior level client base and have high standards of customer service with a focus on high quality outcomes and attention to detail.

The role will include general administrative support to the team, managing diaries, arranging internal and external meetings and events, booking travel, compiling meeting papers, minuting meetings and developing action delivery plans. Previous NHS or health care experience is desirable, but not essential.

Whilst the roles will be based within Manchester City Centre, the projects will impact across the GM area so you will be required to travel on occasions.

This role is offered on a Secondment basis or Fixed Term Contract to 31/3/20. If applying via secondment, please ensure that you have your line manager’s approval before applying.
