Southern Health is one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health, adult and child community health and learning disabilities.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Trainer to join a small specialist team within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, delivering training and digital learning on clinical and administration systems, other work-based applications, and general IT skills.

Do you have in depth experience delivering training on complex end-user systems to large groups and individuals?

Alternatively, do you have excellent presentation and communication skills, training experience in a clinical setting anda sound knowledge of clinical environments and systems? Do you have the desire to deliver quality training to end users to help them achieve top quality clinical record-keeping and administration, and good outcomes for patients?

We will help you to get the best out of yourself in a training environment, including training on the production of eLearning (although existing knowledge of Articulate Storyline is an advantage, as is excellent knowledge of MS Office applications).

You are comfortable working on your own initiative, and enjoy being part of a team. You can identify training requirements, and can see how training can be used to provide a solution. You are effective at building working relationships with those around you and at all levels.

We are a well-established, award-winning team, responsible for delivering an IT training service across the whole organisation – mainly on OpenRiO, but also for SystmOne and EMIS Web.This is delivered both face to face and through in-house e-Learning. We also deliver training in IT skills and MS Office, and assist with clinical system improvement projects. The service is delivered from bespoke training rooms, Community Hospitals and team bases across Hampshire, and through remote sessions, eLearning and Video.

This is a full time permanent post within the Health Technology structure. Priority consideration will be given to any staff currently at risk through organisational change.
