An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, proactive, enthusiastic Senior Staff Nurse, with experience of caring for children and young people undergoing chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation, to join our team at Sheffield Children’s NHSFT.

The unit currently comprises an 14 bedded in patient facility and a very busy out patient’s clinic and 9 bedded Day Care Unit. The wider nursing team includes a Paediatric Oncology Outreach Team, Late Effects Service, Haemophilia and Benign Haematology Service as well as a thriving multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for a person who has, experience of working with children, young people and their families, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can work as a member of a team and is keen to further develop a range of clinical competencies to support the effective and safe care of the children and young people.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
