An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small, but dynamic team in Barnsley.

We are looking forward to being joined by an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian, keen to either start or progress their career whilst working in a community based, multi-disciplinary Tier 3 weight management service.

The team has strong working relationships with medical, nursing and AHP colleagues to provide optimum care for patients.

The service secured further funding to appoint one WTE (37.5 hours per week) dietitian and a 0.5 WTE band 5 dietitian (18.75 hours per week) to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team currently comprising of a Band 7 team leader, band 6 dietitian and CBT therapist, a dietetic support worker and admin staff. The post is based in the community and would rely on you being able to travel to community venues to deliver one-to-one consultations with patients.The service is keen to diversify the provision of care; therefore there would be opportunity to develop the role further. You will be supported with regular clinical supervision by the band 6 and 7 dietitians.

The trust is committed to continuous professional development and will support opportunities to attend courses, shadow specialists and to develop resources.

As part of your role you will be responsible for the development and supervision of students. You will also be working autonomously with the responsibility to manage your own time and work diary.

It is essential that you are currently registered with the HCPC and have a BSc/MSc in Dietetics or Post graduate diploma in Dietetics.
