Our Theatre Suite comprises of 12 operating theatres, recovery, sterile services, implants, and stores – this includes four brand new purpose built theatres that has helped provide more surgical capacity to ensure that our patients needs are met, together with four theatre barns which are suspended from the ceiling of a large ‘barn’ area within which there is free movement of theatre staff. Working as a multi-disciplinary team, Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), and Clinical Support Workers, work alongside internationally reputable Orthopaedic Surgeons undertaking elective specialist surgery.

Our Team delivers orthopaedic surgery across the sub-specialities of Arthroplasty, Foot & Ankle, Upper Limb, Tumour, Spinal, Sports Injury, and Paediatrics, as well as some non-orthopaedic surgical services such as Urology.The majority of our patients are elective however, we do also see emergencies therefore our rota covers Monday to Saturday shifts, offering on-call cover from 9pm to 8am.

We currently have Band 5 posts available on a full or part time basis within our Theatre Scrub, and Anaesthetics Teams.
