Redeployment -Please note that in the first instance priority for this vacancy will be given to NCH&C staff who are on the Trusts Redeployment Register. DBS - If this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and you are not a current employee of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust or being recruited as an Apprentice then the cost of the DBS check will be automatically removed from your first month’s salary. However if you are registered with the update service this may not be required.

In line with UK Home Office requirements, from April 2017, any successful candidate who fulfils the criteria of a Tier-2 work clearance and will be undertaking work under a relevant Standard Occupational Classification code will be required to obtain and present an overseas criminal records certificate(s). We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and well-motivated people to various Apprentice Health Care Assistant positions studying towards a nationally recognised Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship at Level 2 for a 14 month fixed term post. There is an opportunity for a person to develop knowledge and skills and behaviours within various inpatient and community clinical settings within the North Norfolk area.

 

The successful candidates will work within ward and community teams, working with patients with various needs providing direct patient care. Excellent communication skills and a supportive approach to team working within the various clinical settings are key to the success of the success applicants. Demonstrating the ability to working within the Trust behavioural framework will be essential to the role.

 

Successful candidates will have the ability to manage their own learning supported by the allocated supervisors, Clinical Education Team and Talent for Care team in order to gain new knowledge and skills to benefit them and the service. This is a great opportunity to learn while working in an area with patients with various care needs.

 

Good interpersonal skills are essential as well as the ability balance academic studies and the work in practice.

These are 14 months fixed term training positions with the North Norfolk Locality. A guaranteed position as a Healthcare Assistant within the Trust will be offered subject to successful completion of the course and suitable conduct.

 

To apply we require a minimum of 4 GCSE’S at grade D/3, be aged 16 or over and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
