Redeployment -Please note that in the first instance priority for this vacancy will be given to NCH&C staff who are on the Trusts Redeployment Register. DBS - If this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and you are not a current employee of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust or being recruited as an Apprentice then the cost of the DBS check will be automatically removed from your first month’s salary. However if you are registered with the update service this may not be required.

In line with UK Home Office requirements, from April 2017, any successful candidate who fulfils the criteria of a Tier-2 work clearance and will be undertaking work under a relevant Standard Occupational Classification code will be required to obtain and present an overseas criminal records certificate(s). Do you want to become a fully qualified registered nurse within the NHS? Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust are offering a new exciting four year Degree level Apprenticeship programme for individuals who are passionate about excellent patient care.


This is an ideal opportunity to become an Apprentice and earn a wage while working towards an NMC Registered Degree level Apprenticeship in Nursing. It will also help develop you to gain new skills and knowledge while working with an established team gaining valuable work experience within our community teams and community hospitals.


We are looking for committed, caring and dedicated individuals who are willing to commit to the flexible training and make a difference to clinical care and support the future NHS workforce, whilst we train you within our services under the guidance and support of experienced mentors.


Please note there are strict entry qualification requirements to be eligible for this programme, these are: 3 A2 Levels at grades BBCor equivalent as well as English and Maths grade C/4 or equivalent. Please only apply if you meet these requirements alongside being aged 18 or over and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years as per Apprenticeship Rules.


Your starting salary will be Band 3 £18,813.

On completion, staff will be registered and guaranteed a position as a Registered Nurse within the trust subject to successful completion of the course satisfactory conduct.

NCH&C has a dedicated Career Development and Clinical Education team who are on hand to support and guide staff through this Apprenticeship scheme. We offer 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an NHS benefits scheme.



Applicants will need to be committed to academic study to support successful completion over the 4 year programme. You will be required to travel to placements, so a driving licence would be essential. The programme involves you undertaking a series of external placements including acute and specialist areas in order to meet NMC requirements.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
