In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, now known as Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Employing over 500 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the Home Counties, Midlands, East of England up to the North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. RMN Band 6

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a qualified nurse to join the Inclusion Primary and secondary mental health team based at HMP Dovegate.

HMP Dovegate is a category B male prison that also receives remand prisoners from Court.

The role of the mental health nurse within the multidisciplinary team is rewarding and motivating due to the variety of service users that require assessment and interventions The remand population can require urgent responses to unsure prompt treatment or referral to hospital where needed and the team respond by working closely with visiting psychiatrists and external services.

The team are based in HMP Dovegate and work closely with Primary health, provided by Care UK, and service providers within the prison such as resettlement, offender supervisors, psychology and prison officers.

Band 6 nurses will be expected to provide weekend cover on a rotational basis, between the hours of 8.30 - 4.30 . It is estimated that this will be approximately once every two months. Agenda for Change enhancements will be paid for weekend working.
