Primary Care Doncaster Ltd is seeking to appoint an outstanding Director of Finance to shape the financial structure, direction and reputation of the organisation both internally and across the system. The federation has grown exponentially since its conception in June 2017, and expansion is set to continue at an equally fast pace in the coming months, as we organise ourselves to support practices to form Primary Care Networks, and support the wider South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Integrated Care System to develop and deliver the strategic direction for primary care.

Our new Finance Director will join a high performing Corporate Team which has delivered significant progress against the strategic objectives of the organisation in its first two years. We are proud of our achievements thus far, which have been recently recognised in the highly positive results of our 2018-19 member survey, and we want to build on these for the continued benefit of practices and patients alike; whilst keeping our core infrastructure efficient and effective.

This role comes at an exciting time in the development of the NHS Long Term Plan, which heralds a new future for primary and community care, along with significant investment. Through the Doncaster Integrated Care Partnership, alongside the implementation of Primary Care Networks under the new GP contract, the post-holder will have the opportunity to help shape the development and delivery of our ambitious strategic plans. We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of leadership and financial management obtained at or near Board level in a complex environment.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills will be essential and you will bring the gravitas to influence and engage our stakeholders in the organisation and externally. Commercially astute and adaptable, you will bring your expertise and knowledge to the Board, providing both assurance and strategic finance input to the Directors, and senior peer support to the Chief Executive, deputising where appropriate. Most importantly you will share PCD’s values, and put patients first in the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care.

For this post you need to provide a supporting statement and CV.

Interview date: 23rd May 2019
