In 2002 Inclusion was created as part of the award winning South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, now known as Midlands Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. It was developed to provide evidence based innovative services to beneficiaries across England with the flexibility to provide local solutions to local communities but with the governance and commitment to quality of the NHS.

Successful in its endeavors, Inclusion has grown to both substance misuse and mental health services in the community, residential and prisons. Employing over 500 staff, including Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Drug & Alcohol Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors and Volunteers. We provide services to in excess of 19,000 services users per annum across the Home Counties, Midlands, East of England up to the North of England.

The range of services we provide allows us to work with our service users in prisons, extending this into community settings, tackling both substance misuse and mental health concerns. Inclusion has extensive experience of working alongside and providing services to Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authority Public Health Teams, Police & Crime Commissioners, NOMS, NHS England and a broad range of public and voluntary sector institutions. Prison Mental Health and Substance Misuse work is vital to improve the health and wellbeing of prisoners and reduce re-offending.Our teams have great potential to turn lives around, enable recovery and reverse social exclusion.

We are looking to recruit an experienced mental health practitioner and Manager for our Oxfordshire Prisons Mental Health and Substance Misuse Services. This band 8a role will provide direct line management to our two Two Senior Mental Health Nurses and two Drug and Alcohol Team Leaders.

The post will be based in one of the two prisons and work across both flexibly, with the option to undertake some limited home working. Both prisons and their populations are very different, making the work varied and interesting, with excellent opportunities to grow and develop a range of skills. With a strong background in Mental Health services, the successful candidate will have a track record of effective operational management and a proven ability to develop high quality services. You will have the skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and partners including with our lead provider CareUK and other prison services and departments.
