We are currently looking for bank Theatre Practitioners to join the multidisciplinary at our Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre in Plymouth.

We have opportunities for Registered Nurses and Registered Operating Department Practitioners for positions in Scrub, Recovery and Anaesthetics.

Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre offers high quality elective surgery for the local populations of Devon and Cornwall, specialising in hip , knee and shoulder joint replacements, shoulder repair, hand and elbow surgery, foot surgery and minor orthopaedic procedures. We also deliver Ophthalmology and General surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will actively participate in and maintain the highest standard of care and safety for patients, visitors and staff in the operating theatre department. You will be expected to provide clinical care for patients requiring all aspects of preoperative, peri-operative and postoperative care.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Recent and relevant experience of working within a theatre environment
• Recent experience within an acute environment with experience in the recovery of patients following surgery
• Extensive clinical experience in either Orthopaedics, General surgery and Opthalmics

Qualifications

  • NMC Registered General Nurse
  • HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner
