We have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Practitioner to join the multidisciplinary team at our Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre.

Key Responsibilities

Working within day case/recovery  at Emersons Green, you will provide clinical care working closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards for patients during all aspects of preoperative, perioperative and postoperative pathway. Following appropriate training across a variety of specialities, patients will be monitored and cared for, prior to and throughout their surgery ensuring  they are fit and discharged from the unit appropriately.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Extensive experience within an acute environment with recent experience in the recovery of patients following surgery

Desirable:

• Previous experience in pre-assessment

Qualifications

Level 1 NMC Registered General Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner

Desirable:

• ALS
• Relevant teaching and mentoring qualification
• Previous experience in pre-assessment
