The Sheffield Children's Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to reruit to the post of, part time, Nursing Co-ordinator within the Allergy Nursing Team. The hours of work are Wednesday to Friday.

The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive administrativeservice to the Allergy Nursing team. The post holder will be overseeing the administration and booking for the food and drug challenges.The post holder will be expected to organise their workload with the Nurses and Allergy team to ensure that an effective and efficient service is provided. The post holder will prioritise and carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work.

It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and vital that the confidentiality is maintained at all times. The Trust is a specialist Children’s Hospital and the post holder will be expected to deal with parents and patients who may at times be distressed, in a sensitive and caring manner.

The minimum requirements for this post are educated to GCSE standard including English language (Grade C or above), RSA typing/word processing or equivalent experience of using spreadsheets/databases and a good working knowledge of IT packages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to a clear understanding of patient confidentiality.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
