Administration Apprentice

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administration Apprentice within our Therapy Administration team. This person will primarily be providing administrative support to the operational team and clinicians which will include typing documents, retrieving and preparing patient records, filing and entering information onto our computer systems in accordance with Trust policies. They will be the first point of contact for clients to the establishment; this will include dealing with routine queries and providing information to patients’, relatives and staff either face to face or over the phone.

The post holder may be required to provide reception cover in a designated area and operate a telephone system. They will also be require to assist the Business Manager and fulfil all tasks associated with the smooth running of the administration departments across integrated In Patient and Out Patient, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Teams, liaising with other departments as necessary. This may include typing documents, retrieving and preparing patient records, diary management, filing and entering information onto computer systems in accordance with Trust policies. Therefore the successful applicant will need to be computer literature the ability to work using own initiative, a positive attitude and a desire to learn and develop within your career.

Our apprentices are appointed on a substantial basis. For the first six months they will be paid the national minimum wage (£14,548) after six months their salary will increase to £15,604. You will undertake a Level 2 Business Administrative apprenticeship for an 18 month period. You will have a mentor, supervisor and assessor to support you through your programme. On successful achievement of the full framework you will be offered a substantive post.
