Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, Safeguarding Children Team have a vacancy for a 1.0 WTE Safeguarding Children Advisor working within Community Health Services in Lewisham, University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.

The successful applicant will be involved in providing support, supervision and training to staff. In addition, the post involves engaging in multi-agency working - which includes being the Health representative in the Lewisham MASH.

To be successful, you will need to have community experience and experience of working with vulnerable children and their families. You will also need to have experience of partnership working with other multiagency professionals involved in safeguarding children. The ideal applicant should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within their specialist practice area of work.

Applicants will require exceptional communication, risk assessment and documentation skills to be successful for this post. In return you will work with a dynamic team that aims to deliver an innovative, safe and evidence-based service.

This is a very exciting and unique opportunity to develop your experiential knowledge and skills in safeguarding children, as we have a good development and succession planning programme in place.
