Radiology Receptionist Apprentice

The Radiology Department is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking apprentice receptionist to join the radiology team. To provide reception and administrative support to the radiology team.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients/visitors to the department; this will included dealing with routine queries and providing non clinical information to patients, relatives and staff either face to face or over the telephone.

The post holder will be required to greet patients, check their identity and book patients in for their appointment using the Radiology CRIS system and file the request forms as appropriate.

Our apprentices are appointed on a substantial basis. You will undertake a Level 2 Business Administrative apprenticeship for an 18 month period. You will have a mentor, supervisor and assessor to support you through your programme. On successful achievement of the full framework you will be offered a substantive post.

You will be entitled to 27 days annual leave together with 8 public holiday days. The salary is £13,101 pro rata.

You will be required to undertake the Intermediate/Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration. The Apprenticeship includes: The Level 2/3 Diploma in Business Administration, Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and Information Communication Technology (ICT) at Level 1/2, Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. In total candidates can receive up to 5 certificates including the overall apprenticeship framework certificate. The level of Apprenticeship will be discussed and agreed once the apprentice has been appointed in post. You must have / or be predicted to obtain GCSE Grades A-C (or equivalent) in English Language or capable of achieving Level 2 literacy.

You should also have lived within the UK or EU for at least the last 3 years
