Brief Description of the Role:


Born in Bradford are looking for organised, motivated and enthusiastic community research assistants to join our team. This is an exciting, once in a life time opportunity to be part of this unique research programme which really makes a difference to the health and lives of children and families.


The successful candidates will work across the Born in Bradford research studies collecting data in clinics, school and other community settings. Born in Bradford is running a number of studies involving pregnant women, children and their families and other members of the public


The data collected across BiBBS, BiB Growing Up and Bradford Genes&Health will contribute towards the understanding and improving the health and wellbeing of families in Bradford, nationally and internationally. Full training will be provided as well as the opportunity to develop phlebotomy skills as appropriate. The findings from studies will be used to influence policy makers, health professionals and educationalists and help them improve service provision.


The post holders will play a key role in the recruitment and data collection of on-going and new studies within the Born in Bradford Programme. The post holders will be organised and able to work under their own initiative to meet tight deadlines as well as having an approachable, friendly and polite manner. Speaking a South Asian or Central or Eastern European language would be an advantage.
