Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (AFC Band 6)

Invasive & Interventional Cardiology

Located in the heart of London directly opposite the Houses of Parliament, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic, highly rated and diverse cardiovascular centre offering excellent career options to Cardiac Physiologists. We are also part of Kings Health Partners’ one of only 5 academic health science centres in the UK and have a cutting edge research programme in to which all physiologists are fully integrated. We provide all the physiology services you would expect from a leading tertiary referral centre in addition we specialise in cutting edge techniques such as percutaneous aortic valve replacements (TAVI) for which we are one of the largest implant centres in Europe. We also have large programmes in structural heart disease, arrhythmia management and work closely with our colleagues in paediatric cardiology.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, communicative team player. You will be committed to continually improving your professional skills and those of the department.

You will hold a BSc in Cardiac Physiology, and an ILS qualification or demonstrable equivalent knowledge and experience; you should also be registered with RCCP. Evidence of post-graduate development is desirable.

The trust has an on-site gym, cinema, library, social club and swimming pool. There is an on-site nursery (limited places) and the trust is a ‘family friendly’ employer.
