Would you like to come and work in our Respiratory Weaning and Rehabilitation unit , which is the centre of excellence for the management of patients with chronic respiratory failure, as well as being part of the UK’s largest Critical Care Department?

The Lane Fox Respiratory Unit is the largest Weaning and Home Mechanical Ventilation Centre in the UK. We are a unique 14 bedded purpose built unit (8 level 3 beds) which delivers highly specialised care to complex patients requiring respiratory level 2 & 3 support during weaning from mechanical ventilation.

The unit offers specialist outreach services and home assessment clinics, currently managing over 1100 patients on home non-invasive ventilation, over 90 patients receiving tracheostomy ventilation in the community and over 50 difficult to wean patients per year. We provide unique 24 hour nursing, medical and technical support to fully support the long term management of these complex patients.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our unit, we are committed to your professional development so our promise to you will be:

All applicants must demonstrate significant clinical experience within acute Respiratory or High Dependency Nursing, a relevant course in ICU/HDU, a recognised mentorship qualification along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
