INTENSIVE CARE / RECOVERY JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR

REGISTERED NURSES / OPERATING DEPARTMENT PRACTITIONERS

DIVISION OF CRITICAL CARE

ROYAL DEVON & EXETER NHS FOUNDATION

THERE ARE CURRENTLY A NUMBER OF EXICTING OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN CRITICAL CARE IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AND RECOVERY UNITS. BOTH AREAS WITH EXCELLENT REPUTATIONS FOR THE SERVICE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS.

We are looking to expand our team of staff who regularly rotate between the Recovery and ITU units after successful integration of team members over the last few years.

Additionally we have opportunities for enthusiastic Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners to join the ITU team and the Recovery team.

These posts will be ideal for staff with ITU experience and skills and also provide the opportunity for those looking to develop these skills and also for staff with Recovery experience and those looking to build and extend their critical care skills.

The two units work closely together to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to patients and has led to the evolvement of posts rotating between the 2 units.

Practice Educator teams in both of the units ensure that new staff are supported to develop their knowledge and skills and to aide with the transition to fully competent practitioners within these settings. There are comprehensive induction programmes for each area together with planned teaching sessions and programmes. Additionally there is also the opportunity to undertake relevant University accredited modules once established in post and to develop skills/complete mentorship accredited training.

The successful candidate will provide expert care to patients requiring interventional therapies within the critical care areas. They will need to have a broad and sound clinical knowledge and experience in the acute setting either as a Registered Nurse or ODP.
