    Workforce Development and Quality Manager


    1 x permanent position

    1 x 12 month fixed term position

    An exciting opportunity has arisen due to a restructure of roles for 2 innovative workforce development and quality managers to work alongside the Associate Director of Nursing to embed quality improvement and develop a workforce strategy which ensures workforce development and organisational sustainability.

     

    The 4 main objectives of the post are to:

  • Operationally lead the management and co-ordination of clinical workforce development

  • Lead a programme of expansion in apprenticeship activity across all service areas

  • Practice Learning Facilitator for all student nurses ensuring we provide an excellent learning environment for all students to increase applications to clinical posts

  • Embed quality improvement within NAViGO and lead all internal serious incident investigations ensuring that lessons are learnt across all service areas

     

    The successful applicant must hold a professional registration with either the NMC or the HCPC and be able to demonstrate advanced clinical competency in a variety of mental health settings. They should have experience within a senior clinical position in mental health.

     

    To be successful in this post the applicant must be experienced in quality improvement and have sound knowledge of quality improvement methodology, they should also have experience/training in completing serious incident investigations. They must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of evidence-based mental health care and provide evidence of continued professional development.

     

    The post will require the applicant to have a good understanding of the current workforce challenges within the NHS and demonstrate innovative ways the organisation can deliver sustainable services where professional roles are increasingly difficult to recruit to.

     

    Ideally, applicants should have some experience of working with HEE or equivalent and have experience of working with students in their learning development.

     

    Personal qualities that must be demonstrated are compassion, motivation, energy and enthusiasm. This is a demanding role that will require the successful applicant to work across all service areas, developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

All posts will also be subject to successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.
