Integrated Community Response Service

 

Senior Occupational Therapist - Band 6

 

Salary: £32,257.50 - £41,308 pa incl HACS

 

37.5 hours per week

 

We are currently seeking an occupational therapist with a broad range of previous experience and knowledge, looking for an opportunity to develop skills in admission avoidance, rapid response and management of acutely unwell clients in crisis in the community. You must be flexible and responsive with excellent time management skills as the team is required to be reactive and priorities change frequently throughout the day.

 

You should have sound skills in clinical reasoning, excellent communication and be confident in working alone and in a busy multi-disciplinary environment. You will have opportunities to develop yourself, be involved with the professional development of more junior staff, HSC assistants and students and participate in multi-disciplinary audit and research. You will be working in a rewarding and challenging clinical setting.

 

We have a number of forward thinking quality initiatives developing with in the team, eg. London Ambulance Service links and exciting times lay ahead with further emphasis being placed on to patients being managed in the community.

 

As the service is community based, you will need your own means of transport to manage an agreed schedule of appointments throughout the borough. You will be required to manage a variety of shifts including longer days (eg. 0700 – 1900, 1200 – 2200) and weekends on a rota basis.

 

The Integrated Community Response Team aims to prevent hospital admission and supports early discharge of patients following acute admission. We are a dynamic team comprising of doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacist, support staff, handymen, social worker and administrators. We function seven days a week; 365 days a year between 0700 - 2200. Further information about the team is available on our website
