We have a new opportunity at Leeds Cares for the position of Volunteer Coordinator which involves supporting a broad range of activities and requires someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment on a variety of tasks.

Our volunteers represent the breadth of our community and we want to be as inclusive as possible. Volunteering provides a fantastic avenue for people to explore opportunities not only within the health care sector but also the not for profit charity sector including fundraising which we are keen to develop. The role will include widening our access for volunteering and increasing the numbers of volunteers across the charity in line with our volunteer action plan.

If you are efficient, have excellent communication and time management skills with proven experience of working with people, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

You will need to be dynamic and a highly motivated individual, responsible for the recruitment and coordination of volunteers including promoting the charity and establishing links with other voluntary organisations.

If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Charity will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period. You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
