This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist at the Mulberry Centre Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for Older People in Burnham-on-Sea.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with an OT qualification that has both the experience and passion to work with older people with mental illness.

Mulberry OPCMHT is a Multi-disciplinary team that provides assessment, treatment, reviews and support for people with complex mental health problems. We link closely with other professionals such as GP’s, District Nurses, IRT, and Adult Social Care. As a Care Co-ordinator, you will have a defined caseload and will focus on working directly with clients, families and their carers to ensure people receive an effective assessment with support and information to manage their condition whilst considering any possible risk or safeguarding concerns.

The role will also consist of completing OT specific assessments within the memory service and also running and developing groups within the day hospital.

You will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively whilst remaining sensitive and empathetic.
