We currently have a vacancy offering a 24 hour post for Assistant Head of Catering based at Minehead Community Hospital, Lutteral Way, Minehead TA24 6DF.

Applicants will have previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen for a minimum of 2 years, must be motivated and committed to providing a high quality service and be an outgoing, hardworking, enthusiastic individual.

They should be able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Knowledge of special diets/allergens and/or experience of working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage. Understanding statutory requirements on food hygiene, including the managing and ordering of stock ensuring appropriate stock rotation.

Understanding of managing a budget is also required. storage and temperature control and an excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation including Level 2 Award in Catering is essential.
