Job Title: Apprentice Registration Authority Agent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GHNHSFT Apprentice Terms and Conditions £10,132 pro rata, £5.18 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months

Department/Area: Corporate HR Systems Team

Responsible to: Corporate HR Systems Team Manager

Location: Redwood Education Centre, Gloucester Royal Hospital

(With occasional requirement to travel to Cheltenham General Hospital and other hospital sites within the county)

An administrative Apprenticeship at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an excellent opportunity to complete an Intermediate Level (Level 2) Apprenticeship in Business and Administration and gain valuable business administration experience in an acute hospital setting.

This Apprenticeship vacancy would be suitable for a school leaver who has an interest in pursuing a career administration or healthcare administration or someone wishing a change in career.

The Apprentice will be managed and supported by the Corporate HR Systems Manager and mentored by a designated Advanced Registration Authority Agent.

The Apprentice will be expected to deliver a high standard of customer service dealing with visitors and telephone enquiries and when necessary refer them to the appropriate department member. The job will include dealing with sensitive information and the Apprentice will be expected to maintain confidentiality, use discretion and treat everyone with kindness and respect at all times.

The job requires the Apprentice to be flexible and alter activities and priorities as the need arises.

This Apprenticeship is 37.5 hours per week; this includes a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes and study leave to undertake Level 2 Apprenticeship Course in Business and Administration.

The young person (under 18 years) will have a break every 4.5 hours worked.
