An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with interest and experience in emergency planning, resilience and response to join our busy Resilience Team.

This is a substantive Band 6 position and will be for 37.5 hours a week.

The Resilience Team is responsible for ensuring the Trust develops and maintains prepared and resilient services that meet the statutory and mandatory duties as set out in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the NHS England Emergency Preparedness Framework 2015.

The post holder will work alongside the Head of Resilience in maintaining and improving the resilience of the Trust to threats and emergencies that may arise. This post would suit a keen and dynamic individual with an interest in emergency planning, project management, emergency response, and training. The post holder should have experience working within a healthcare setting and be able to work flexibly when needed, including working across both the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital sites and attending meetings off site. Education and development opportunities, and support from the Head of Resilience will be also offered.

Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.

Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
