Resuscitation Officer

Band 7

Full/ Part Time – 37.5 hours per week

£33.222 - £43.041 pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Royal Papworth NHS Foundation Trust Hospital for a Resuscitation Officer. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated team member with excellent communication and management skills to lead the resuscitation training service in the Trust.

You will be working in partnership with the Clinical Education and ALERT teams, facilitating training from basic to advanced life support, fulfilling the Trust’s training needs analysis ensuring compliance with nationally recognised courses. This role is pivotal in providing the drive and clinical leadership to maintain and improve high standards of care delivery for patients at risk of deterioration and requiring resuscitation. The post requires a positive approach to change and ability to engage, support and motivate others to give high quality care.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to continue to progress your skills and knowledge as a senior clinician in teaching and learning within the advancing fields of resuscitation in a cardiothoracic environment. You will be responsible for leading and participating in audits, clinical incident reviews as well as leading on service developments as appropriate to your role. The post holder should be educated to a degree level and possess an Advanced Life Support Instructor qualification as a minimum. Instructor qualifications in other aspects of resuscitation delivery would also be desirable in order for us to develop our current services / courses. Ability to use own initiative along with excellent communication, clinical and organisational skills is essential.
