Royal Papworth Hospital is an internationally renowned Cardiothoracic Centre close to the city of Cambridge with a proven track record of excellence in the delivery of patient care receiving both local and national referrals.

Join us as we move to our new state of the art hospital on the Cambridge Medical Campus in May 2019.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our friendly and dynamic Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Departments as a Therapies Assistant. You will be committed to personal development and have good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to use your initiative when working within a team.

You will gain experience treating a range of patients with cardio-respiratory conditions, including before and after surgery, as well as patients with long term respiratory conditions, within a range of clinical settings. You will complete a full in-house training programme including a dedicated therapy assistant forum and clinical competencies whilst working under the supervision of registered therapists, until you are able to undertake delegated tasks independently.

Candidates must have evidence of a good secondary education and a NVQ3 or equivalent in a related area. Experience of working in a physiotherapy or occupational therapy department is highly desirable. The post-holder will be expected to participate in frequent weekend working, based on a seven day shift pattern.
