Clinical Facilitator Band 6 – Clinical Education

The role is central to the delivery of training programs and development of the wider clinical workforce, through collaborative working across disciplines and professions supporting the development of the medical student, junior medical staff and pre / immediate post -registration learner.  The post holder will provide support and direction to students and staff and will support the Clinical Education and Practice Development teams and other Educators.  They will be responsible for the delivery, promotion, enhancement and evaluation of education and development needs through a variety of formats, including presentations, skills based training, clinical support and mentorship.

The post is offered as 37.5 hours per week, substantive position and will enable the right candidates to develop their own portfolio in teaching, training and understanding learning as well as being supported in their own development as an educator. Job share will be considered also.  This is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional development, and is an exciting time to join the education teams as we continue to prepare for the hospital relocation to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

Candidates will need to have membership of a regulated health care profession, and have previous clinical experience with evidence for supporting learning and development.  It would be desirable for candidates to hold a mentor qualification or its equivalent.
