Band 5/6 Development Role

City Health Care Partnership CIC is an innovative, award winning organisation, at the forefront of change and keen to recruit the best people to develop its services within the context of social business. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse. The hours of work for this post are 28 per week. As this practice is open from 08:00 – 20:00 and weekends, there will be an expectation that some shifts will be worked during these times.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse, or someone wanting to move into general practice to develop their skills. Full training will be given. The role will involve a full range of services available in general practice. This job will at times be challenging, but enjoyable and rewarding.

An experienced Practice Nurse will be paid on the Band 6 scale. However, if the successful candidates does not have the relevant experience, they will be paid on the Band 5 scale, working as a development towards achieving a Band 6 role.

Treatment room experience including infant immunisations, cervical cytology asthma and chronic disease management preferred but not essential. The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.


The post-holder will be required to attend and contribute to training events to fulfil their role and will keep abreast of national policy and clinical drivers, as well as local and organisational procedures and protocols.


An ability to commute within the organisation’s geographical area with access to an appropriate means of transport is also essential.
