The Community Engagement & Training Team are responsible for looking after our volunteer community first responders (CFRS), fire, and armed forces co-responders as well as our public access defibrillator (PAD) sites across the footprint of SCAS.
The team also provides training and governance to external stakeholders and works with local communities and schools.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Assistant Community Engagement & Training Officer to support the Community Engagement & Training Officer and to work with our Community Responders in the Berkshire Area.  This post will be based from Bracknell Ambulance Station.

We are looking for an individual who is a self-motivated and talented educator who is able to work across the Berkshire area primarily, but also across the SCAS footprint as required. They will manage their own workload with input and support from their Community Engagement and Training Officer and other members of the team to ensure they achieve maximum productivity whilst going about their duties.  The successful applicant will work with the Community Engagement & Training Officer, delivering training sessions and ensuring training records are kept up to date, CFR Welfare is complete and attend stakeholder engagement events as required, the individual will also ensure the overall objectives of the team are met.

There will be an expectation of flexibility in relation to workload as the nature of our department and the work of our teams means that occasionally plans will have to be changed with little or no notice to accommodate an evolving need.

This position will involve working over weekends and working late shifts with a shift pattern to be agreed with the Operations Manager to fulfil the needs of the department.

Please note whilst part of the essential criteria is to have a PTTLS/AET award we will consider applications from those who do not have this award who can demonstrate significant experience and fulfil all the other criterias.
