Band 7 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse; Respiratory Specialities

We are seeking a senior nurse to lead our respiratory nursing team in our brand new hospital opening in April 2019. The ward will deliver care to patients across respiratory specialities;

  • Diagnostic Oncology
  • Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Interstitial Lung Disease
  • Cambridge Centre for Lung Infection: lung defence and cystic fibrosis

The ward Sister will be supported in delivering excellence in care by a colleague managing the ward in partnership. The ward is also supported by a Continuing Professional Development Charge Nurse for the respiratory specialities and the Clinical Nurse Specialist teams for each of the care groups.

The successful candidate will have the skills to lead and manage a team of nurses; to inspire them through role modelling clinical and professional excellence and supporting them in delivering an excellent patient experience. There are many opportunities for further personal and professional development for the post holder.
