Band 6 Midwife

Job Reference: 403-GEN1974

Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust
Musgrove Park, Taunton
£28,050 - £36, 644 pro rata per annum

Would you like to offer women continuity of carer, to support them in every part of their journey while developing your own skills in every part of your midwifery practice? Would you like to work

Autonomously, running your own diary but also supporting a team of like minded midwives?

As an early adopter site over the next two years we will be shaking up our maternity services to reflect woman centred care where midwives and obstetricians are supported by models of care that provide continuity and the opportunity to develop relationships with the women in their care. We would like you to be a part of that journey with us.

We are looking for passionate, motivated and innovative midwives to join our teams across the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services while we develop these models. You will have a desire to work autonomously within a supportive team, managing a caseload of women in the community and attending their births. The next two years and beyond will see the development of continuity of carer across our services and our staff will be a huge part of helping this vision to be realised.

You will be a part of the process, helping to plan how you wish to work on a day to day basis while meeting the ambition of a known midwife for all women.

Initially you will be either based within a traditional community team or Hospital model providing support to women in the antenatal and postnatal period.
