Sheffield Children’s Hospital is currently seeking to appoint a full-time 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) Validation Officer to review the journeys our patients take and ensure that the trust reports these accurately to ensure that our patients receive the right treatment at the right time.

You will work across the various specialties, gaining an understanding of the patient pathways within all of them as well as the rules, structures and practices that exist in order to facilitate them. Responsible for the monitoring of data quality and liaising with departments on data quality issues, you will provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of education and training programmes to ensure the successful delivery of the service and prevent issues reoccurring.

The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure dealing with high volumes of data validation ensuring that all relevant data is accurately recorded and updated on the Trust Patient Administration System. You will be required to prioritise workloads in order to support weekly and monthly deadlines and maintain confidentiality at all times.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
