An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) wanting to consolidate and develop their specialist skills at Evelina London Children’s Hospital alongside a large and growing team of experienced Speech and Language Therapists.

We are looking for a motivated, professional and pro-active SLT to work in the field of complex airway and tracheostomy in children from across the age range (from neonates to adolescents). These children often have a syndromic/neurological/cardiac/neonatal/intensive case history.

We welcome applicants with paediatric and/ or adult experience and recognise applicants may have transferable knowledge and skills from other specialist fields.

The post-holder will deliver care to both inpatient and outpatient settings at Evelina London Children’s Hospital as part of the ENT care pathway and in conjunction with SLT colleagues in the hospital and in the community.

The post- holder will regularly participate in our videofluorosocopy swallow study service. There will be opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects, audit and teaching.

The Children’s ENT Service is a leading and growing department with a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary team working. The service is tertiary in nature, supporting children from a wide geographical area.

The post-holder will benefit from strong professional and clinical supervision, an established CPD programme and a friendly supportive team of SLT and ENT colleagues.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
