We are very pleased to be able to offer a new, unique and exciting Chartered Management degree apprenticeship in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The post holder will have a positive impact on Dorset HealthCare Staff, Patients, Carers and Families. Working with the Equality and Diversity Manager in partnership with local community groups and stakeholders to develop services and challenge cultural norms.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, methodical, hard-working, self-motivated and who can work flexibly in a team with the ability to be solution focussed.

The successful candidate will work towards a 4 year Chartered management degree apprenticeship which will be funded by Dorset HealthCare, the Learning provider and delivery model is to be confirmed.

The successful candidate will work towards a Band 6 and will be on the Annex 21 model, starting salary will be £21,986 pa. This will increase each year the candidate is on programme.

The role will be based in Dorset HealthCare’s Headquarters at Sentinel house in Poole but will regularly work across different sites within Dorset.

This role will offer an excellent opportunity to develop personally and professionally, and you'll be encouraged to attend our own in-house training courses. There may be further opportunities to develop the role depending your interests and strengths.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to kick start your career and allow you to earn, learn and gain experience.

Entry Requirements:

You are eligible to apply for this post if you are living in England and not taking part in full-time education, you are aged 16 or over and do not hold a degree qualification within the same area.

You must have achieved GCSE Grade C, equivalent or above, in English Language and Maths e.g. Key/ Functional skills

You must hold 3 A Levels (Grade C+) or a relevant and recent Level 3 qualification.

A keen interest in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion work, ideally some experience of working with community groups.

Determination to complete a Chartered Management degree while working full-time.

 

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust will provide:

A dedicated mentor to support you through your apprenticeship, providing support and advice within the workplace, as well as helping you manage the balance of work and apprenticeship studies. You will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally and will be encouraged to attend our in-house training courses and shadow colleagues from other services. There may be further opportunities depending on your interests and strengths. As an employee of Dorset HealthCare you will have access to our extensive e-learning platform to help support your growth and development in your new role. You will also be able to apply for vacancies at the Trust within the same staff group, allowing you the opportunity to join the Trust on a permanent basis.

Did you know? As an apprentice you will have access to the NUS extra student card (your training provider will give you more information about your NUS card on your enrolment to your apprenticeship). For a small fee you will also be able to apply for the Blue Light Card, both cards will give you access to more than 200 discounts from retail stores and restaurants.
