An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on the Maternity unit at the Leicester Hospitals including our stand alone birth centre; St Mary’s Birth Centre. Leicester is an exciting, vibrant, multicultural city of culture.

We have vacancies for Band 5 and Band 6 Midwives.


University Hospitals of Leicester offers a stimulating working environment. Our pre-ceptorship package provides excellent support for newly qualified midwives.

Leicester is a nationally recognised teaching hospital.
We also have excellent links with De Montfort University.
We have responsive ongoing support and continuous education from our practice education team.

We have a number of Specialist Midwives who support the Midwives and Women with complex needs to ensure a holistic and safe approach to child bearing.

We have an alongside midwife led Birth Centre, which is in the top 3 national birth centres recognised for providing care to a high proportion of low risk women.
We have an established maternity admissions centre, that triages women so that care is appropriate.

There are exciting opportunities for promotion and career development, we have a Band 7 midwife co-ordinator learning package.

We have a management team dedicated to ensure that you will fulfil your potential and enhance your midwifery skills.
