We are looking for a recovery nurse practitioner who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the best of care. You will be responsible for carrying out clinical practice within designated clinical areas, ensuring that high quality, current evidence based nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluations for patients is provided from admission through to discharge.

The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (recovery) is part of theatres and manages patients in the immediate post anaesthetic period. The unit sees a mixture of paediatric and adult patients undergoing day and inpatient procedures over a range of specialties including those patients needing to go to critical care. The department provides 24 – hour emergency cover; therefore there will be shift work, night duties and weekends on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive orientation and competency package with the support of a professional buddy.

Applications will be welcomed from Practitioners from either a NMC or HCPC registered background and although previous theatre experience would be advantageous, a full training package for those without these skills could be made available

Permanent contract - 37.5 hours per week (part time hours considered)
