Therapy Assistant - Dietetics

Band 4

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Band 4 Dietetic Therapy Assistant to join our team at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be joining a team of dietitians, dietetic assistants and clerical support staff who currently provide a proactive, developing service across a range of specialities.

You will be contributing to providing a dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients across both Warrington and Halton. You will also be working in community settings and delivering patient group education sessions and training to other healthcare professionals. You will be working with both adults and paediatrics.

The department offers excellent support for your professional development and you will be actively supported to engage in CPD and training. You will receive regular and appropriate supervision. You will be actively involved in service development and quality improvement projects.

The team is actively involved in dietetic student training placements and there is scope for the successful candidate to contribute significantly in this.

Please note pay progression is subject to the NHS Agenda for Change Pay Progression provisions applicable from 1st April 2019.

All posts are subject to NHS Employment Check Standards including a DBS check, if applicable. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £39 (Standard) or £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.

NB. Current employees of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust who have had a satisfactory DBS check, carried out by this Trust during the last 3 years, will not be required to undertake a new one. Where staff have not had a check (classification appropriate to the post offered) within the last 3 years, they will be required to undertake and pay for this, as per the arrangements above.
