COMMUNITY HOSPITAL STAFF NURSE (including newly qualified Nurses)

Band: 5

Salary: £23,023 - £29,608 per annum pro rata (Relocation support available - upon approval)

Hours: Full time, inclusive of days, nights & weekends (flexible working patterns will also be considered)

Location: Stroud General Hospital

We are a nurse led unit with close working ties across all the Multidisciplinary Teams within the Hospital. We are especially proud that the Inpatient wards at Stroud were recently given an ‘outstanding’ rating for care at the Care Quality Commission’s last inspection. Our passion for caring for our local population is also reflected in the feedback we receive from patients, their carers, family and friends.

Our Community Hospital is in the beautiful Market Town of Stroud in a semi-rural position in the Cotswolds. It has the bonus of good access to the M5 motorway and is also serviced by excellent train links to London, Bristol and the West country. Added to this we offer free parking to all our staff!

We are currently looking for nurses with passion and commitment who hold a patient’s care and experience at the heart of their nursing practice and who also share our organisational values. In return we can offer you with day to day support along with excellent training and a real commitment to your personal development plan with opportunities for continued professional development and study.

For the Newly Qualified Registered Nurse, we recognise the need for extra support, and therefore we offer a formal preceptorship programme, as well as developing new and essential clinical skills necessary for you to become a confident and experienced practitioner.

For the more experienced Nurse, we will support you in your clinical and managerial development to become a more autonomous practitioner, by providing access to academic programs such as ‘Physical Assessment and Clinical Reasoning’, a ‘teaching & assessing’ qualification and accredited leadership courses.
