Forensic Nurse Examiner - Kent

Mountain Healthcare Limited is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for Nurses in Kent.

Each region has its own dedicated SARC (sexual assault referral centre) which offers support and practical help to anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault. This service is co-funded by the Police and the NHS.

We are looking for dedicated Nurses to come and join our fantastic team.

The nursing team are responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for the forensic and acute requirements.

There is currently a vacancy for:

- 1 x Forensic Nurse Examiner (42 hours per week on average)

All roles are paid equivalent to band 7 and upwards.

The successful applicants will be based within easy reach of Maidstone in Kent and be willing (on occasions) to travel to other locations. This would require having access to transport for out of hours work.

It is essential that candidates have previous experience of working with vulnerable people and can demonstrate effective interpersonal skills. Experience of dealing with victims of sexual assault will be an advantage, although full support and training will be provided. In accordnace with FFLM guidelines, the successful applicant will ideally have 3 years post qualification experience.

The training will be substantive and will require a high level of commitment but we are excited to be able to offer you a fantastic training programme and include opportunities to undertake higher qualifications.

Our vision for delivering this high quality service specification will require all staff to be able to develop new skills and we will work with you to provide the right support in a challenging environment. We would love our staff to identify new ideas and help develop the evidence base to identify what people need from our service.

Shifts will be 12 hours in length, running from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am. There will be enhancements in pay for night and weekend shifts.

All successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including; an Enhanced DBS check, 2 satisfactory references and a Police vetting checks.
